Tropical Kale Smoothie

I have been craving smoothies & one in particular is the Apple ‘N Greens Smoothie at Jamba Juice. I prefer to make this at home as I have control over the quality of ingredients I use and save some cash. Below is a quick and easy way to consume some extra greens in any day.

Tropical Kale Smoothie
½ c Chopped frozen kale
1 tsp Maca Powder
1 tsp Ground flax seed
1 T Protein powder (I used hemp)
1 c Green Plant Juice (any kind of juice will work)
1 c Frozen fruit (I did a mix of strawberry, banana, pineapple, and mango)
Start with ½ c Ice and ¼ c water add more if needed to get the consistency you prefer.

Optional: Add in coconut water, coconut oil, superfood, dates, fresh spinach, probiotics, etc. Whatever you feel your body needs or is craving that day!

Place ingredients in order listed above into VitaMix (or blender). Start speed on low and increase. Blend for 1-2 minutes until desired consistency.
