Cinnamon - the New Superfood
Cinnamon...the new super food...at least in my world!! I love cinnamon...I actually had a dream about buying stock in cinnamon last night. Cinnamon is a superfood in my world because of the amazing positive effects it has had on my overall health and weight management. As with most women, I would always fluctuate weight, sometimes just by looking at food I would gain 5 lbs ;) Once I started having 1 tsp of cinnamon everyday, all of that changed!
Numerous studies show that cinnamon regulates blood sugar, hence making it an ideal super food for weight management. It helps to stabilize energy levels and mood.
Studies have also showed it reduces LDL cholesterol levels. LDL is the harmful cholesterol. Cinnamon has also been classified as a powerful antioxidant.
I start everyday off everyday with 1 tsp of cinnamon on my toast or in my cereal, oatmeal, or yogurt for the past 3 years! I hope you enjoy it as well!!
